Viewpoint Photographic Art Center exists to promote the photographic arts. We do this most visibly by operting the Viewpoint Gallery, the only non-profit gallery in the region devoted exclusively to photography. But Viewpoint also promotes photographic art through a range of other activities, including workshops, presentations, field trips, and educational outreach. We favor no particular artisitc approaches, styles or techniques—rather, we encourage and support photographic art in all of its forms, and seek to highlight the extraordinary range and quality of photographic art being produced in the Sacramento Valley. We’d like to think that anyone with an interest in photographic art would want to join Viewpoint simply to support the vitality and diversity of photography in our region. But there are numerous other reasons to belong to Viewpoint as well.
