The "Fifth Annual Fine Print Auction and Drawing" has arrived!  Many world-renowned photographers have graciously donated prints including Ruth Bernhard (who also donated a wonderful print last year), Jerry Uelsmann, and Michael Kenna. We're deeply grateful to these masters of the medium and to all of the other photographers who have gone out of their way to help us this year. We're sure that collectors will be just as appreciative as we are.

There are two categories of prints in this event. Auction prints will be sold to the highest bidder on the auction day of May 31.
The prints will be auctioned (in random order) at the Viewpoint Gallery on the evening of May 31, starting at 6:00 p.m. As in years past, we expect the auction and drawing to be a lively, fun event with plenty of bargains for collectors of photography. This year, sales tax will be included in the bid price, so the bid amount will be the full amount paid.

The drawing prints, however, offer a unique opportunity to obtain one of our member's photographic art at a great price!  The format for this year's print drawing will be the same as last year's. Tickets for the print drawing are only $50! Each ticket-holder will choose one print from the pool of drawing prints, in the order the tickets are drawn. The number of tickets sold will equal the number of prints donated, so everyone who buys a ticket will receive a print.

The prints in the auction and drawing will be on exhibit at the Viewpoint Gallery from April 11 to May 31. The preview party is Saturday, May 10; the auction and drawing event is Saturday, May 31, at 5:30 p.m. Drawing tickets will be available from the beginning of the exhibit until they sell out. Visitors to the Viewpoint Gallery can also pre-bid on any of the auction prints during the exhibit-so if you cannot be present at the auction, you will still have a chance to add one or more of the auction prints to your collection.

Last year's auction was the most successful in our history. We think we're well on our way to raising the bar even higher this year.

The Drawing: This is an exceptional way to expand your photographic art collection for only $50 a print! A random drawing will be made of all of the tickets sold.  If your number is drawn, you will be able to select any of the fine prints in our Print Drawing group. These photographs are donated by members of the Sacramento Valley Photographic Art Center. Every ticket holder will receive a print! Drawing tickets can be purchased at the Viewpoint Gallery during regular gallery hours or at the reception on May 10.  However, you must hurry since there are only a limited number of tickets sold equal to the number of drawing prints available!
