The Sacramento Valley Photographic Art Center's sixth annual fine print auction and drawing was held on the evening of May 22. This year more than 70 photographs from nationally-known photographers as well as prominent local photographers and SVPAC members were auctioned off. In addition, there were more than 35 prints for the popular drawing portion of the fundraiser, in which a $50 ticket guaranteed that the ticket holder would go home with a work of photographic art. The photographs represented a wide range of subjects, styles, and media.

The format of this year's auction was a bit different from last year's, due to the large number of prints donated. We held a silent auction in addition to the traditional live auction. The drawing used the same format as in previous years, with tickets priced at $50. Each ticket-holder chose one print from the pool of drawing prints, in the order the tickets were drawn.

SVPAC is deeply grateful to the many photographers who have gone out of their way to help us this year. We're sure that collectors will be just as appreciative as we are.
