| James Hirschinger, a resident of Loomis, is best known for his striking abstract telephoto and close-up images of classic aircraft and automobiles. He also works on architectural themes. His photographs in this exhibit, which he describes as dreaming in color, come from both bodies of work. The architectural images were taken in 2003 in Madrid, New Mexico. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Rajiv Seth lives in Davis and specializes in large-scale prints of abstract subjects. His images were found by plumbing industrial wastelands, and by distilling pictures from this unlikely ore of discarded, weathered machinery and other detritus. As Seth writes, Beauty is to be found everywhere. The challenge has and always will be to capture its essence. He looks to find that nexus of color, texture, and design... these painterly images - these mandalas - elegant sources for insights that enrich the soul. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Jennifer Wu, of Sacramento, makes photographs that work to capture natures ideal moments. Her love of nature comes through in images sometimes serene and sometimes dramatic. The pictures range from dreamlike and restful to fanciful and almost gleeful. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
