| Artist's Statement "Nader was born in Shiraz, Iran, where he began experimenting with photography at the age of 13. Later he moved to California to pursue a career as an electrical engineer. He photographed sporadically until 1992, when a day in a friend's darkroom re-ignited the passion for image-making. He immediately began building his own darkroom." "Nader thinks of himself as a street photographer, though he's as likely to photograph the buildings or the street itself as he is to photograph people. In street-photographer fashion, he uses his camera to explore and record people and places. But he also has a strong interest in abstraction and composition, which is reinforced by his work in the darkroom." — MH The images here are from Nader's ongoing Iran portfolio.
