Artist's Bio It seems like my photography has taken a left brain/right brain approach in recent years. Much of my work is traditional large format black and white, printed with love and patience in a stuffy but very comforting little darkroom. And then there is my Polaroid art: manipulated SX-70's, emulsion lifts and transfers. These are scanned and printed as large archival inkjet prints in a nice, large, airy room. I have found both approaches are necessary for my creative balance. Although entirely different, they feed each other and keep the work fresh for me playful…entertaining. I photograph because I need to. It keeps me sane. My website is www.wendellminshew.com. I can be reached at wendell@wendellminshew.com. |
