2000 Figure Workshop
Sloughhouse
Jay Schneider and Daniel Ng
Saturday, August 26, 2000
2:00 - 7:00 PM
From Daniel Ng:
This year’s figure workshop on August 26th was a calm, relaxing event. Since
it was such a hot day, we decided to spend most of the time at the river. We had
some new faces to go along with the usual participants - both in front of and
behind the camera. As with the past workshops, much fun and experimenting went
on.

Along with the Hasselblads and Nikons were a couple of pinhole cameras - I anticipate good images from all. Some are saying that it was the best workshop yet. I think it’s mostly because we’re getting more relaxed about it, and both models were excellent and friendly. We did attract more women photographers than ever which some believe helps the energy of the group.

Speaking of which, the follow-up meeting, where we share and critique our
photos, will be on Saturday, November 4, at 4PM at the gallery. All Viewpoint
members are welcome to come!

Workshop
Information:
This members-only event is on Saturday, Aug 26th. As usual, this
afternoon shoot will run about 2pm to 7pm. We will meet in the
Sloughhouse and walk a little to our locations, which includes rocks,
farmland, a lake, a gravel pit, and farm structures and equipment. Jay
Schneider and Daniel Ng will guide and offer suggestions, but the
atmosphere will be mostly informal. Bring a snack and drink for
yourself, as well as a little something to share with the models. This
exclusive workshop is limited to the first 15 members to sign up! The
cost is $33 (which all goes to the models' fees - we do this as a
benefit for Viewpoint Gallery members).
